From October 14 to 16 we will be supporting the PSG-X technical training in Medellín, organized by Inyecdiesel, Percotronics and Diesel La Montaña. It is a closed course where 6 participants will learn to repair the VP44 board, the electronics of the injection pump of the Chevrolet Dmax pickup.
The class will be taught by Percotronics, coming from Ecuador especially to share it: a team with extensive experience in diesel injection electronics repair.
The course agenda
The program is split into three days, one per work front:
- Day 1 – Mechanical: review of the Dmax injection system, pump removal and mechanical diagnosis before the electronic work.
- Day 2 – Electrical: deep dive into the VP44 board, its components, the most common failures and the repair process.
- Day 3 – On the road: testing the repaired pump and board, installed in the vehicle and evaluated under real driving conditions.
Why repair the VP44 board?
The board is, in many cases, where the VP44 pump "dies": electrical failures that make the injection stop working correctly. Repairing it instead of replacing the whole pump:
- Lowers the repair cost for the customer.
- Recovers the value of a component many shops would discard.
- Demands rigorous diagnosis, good records and full traceability.
That is exactly the kind of technical knowledge that separates a shop that replaces parts from one that repairs them.
Closed format, hands-on practice
As a closed course with only 6 participants, every attendee works directly on the boards and trucks, with instructor guidance across all three days.
